Please Pray for Us

Hello, all! Greetings and hopes for a Happy New Year to you all. The work of getting the Dakota Bible into a digitized, workable format continues, it seems very slowly! But, it is our hope that God will continue to guide us on our part of this project. We are trying to give the Bible back to a people it was taken from. It belongs to them, just like it belongs to everyone on this lovely planet. It should be up to each individual to decide whether it is wanted or not, that decision should never be taken away.
We ask your prayers that God will speed the work along through the remainder of the Old Testament. Then the big prayer is that He will raise up native speakers of the Dakota language group to continue the corrections to the text. This work will not only be a literary benefit or a spiritual blessing, it will help preserve a language that for some reason others have tried to extinguish. As the Dakota try to preserve and revive their language (as I have seen many posts online concerning this), the Bible will be a great aid to this endeavor. It has been proven through the centuries that a complete Bible in a language does in fact preserve that language and help keep it alive.
Please continue to pray for our family. We are in times of adversity, as I am sure are many of you. Many people would have us stop this project for good and all, saying that "the Dakota speak English, so why would they need a Bible in their so-called heart language." Well, I say it is up to them to decide whether they want it or not, but they should at least have that choice. I speak Spanish, but I certainly do not want my English Bible taken from me and be told to deal with it. Our heart language makes more sense to our souls than any other language does, who are we to ever take that option away from people?
God bless every one of you who have prayed for us and encouraged us. This work is the Lord's. God be with you.
Blessed Hope
