Dakota Lakota Bible Translation

Hi everyone! :-) I just wanted to let you know that if you want a complete copy of the digitized (in Word) Dakota Bible email blessedhopeministry4@gmail.com and we will send it to you. It is public domain and is as error free as we can get it, so it will serve as a good start for an updated translation or a corrected one since most of the work is already done.
It has been a real honor to have been able to do our part in this project. We have been trying to get it back into the hands of the Dakota and Lakota people (as the dialect it was translated into seems to be compatible with both).
Anyway, we will continue to post each book as we have been doing and hope that it can be found easily by anyone who is looking for it. The Dakota is a really beautiful language and the Bible is actually in pretty good shape. There are obvious funny spots, like the original translators apparently did not know the Dakota word for cattle and so used buffalo or deer for sheep, but hey, the guys were at least trying. And in doing so, they managed to preserve a language that others apparently wanted eradicated.
God bless all the First Nations of North America.
